A beautiful Deluxe Limited Edition of the viral sensation and national bestseller Pen Pal, featuring:
¿Designed stenciled edges ¿Full color art on reverse of the dust jacket ¿All-new full-color illustrated endpapers ¿A foil case stamp ¿Expanded bonus material
It all began with just one line.
"I'll wait forever if I have to."
The first letter arrived the day my husband was buried. It was postmarked from the state penitentiary, and contained a single sentence:
I'll wait forever if I have to.
It was signed by Dante, a man I didn't know.
Out of simple curiosity, I wrote back to ask him what exactly he was waiting for. His reply?
You.
I told the mystery man he had the wrong girl. He said he didn't. I said we'd never met, but he said I was wrong.
We went back and forth, exchanging letters every week that grew increasingly more intimate. Then one day, the letters stopped. When I found out why, it was already too late.
Dante was at my doorstep.
And nothing on earth could have prepared me for what happened next.

Pen Pal - 4.75-Star Paranormal Romance

The story begins on the day of Kayla’s husband’s burial who died in a boating accident. When Kayla returns home from the funeral, she finds an envelope on her kitchen counter. The letter inside contains only one sentence: “I will wait forever if I have to.” It’s signed by someone named Dante and sent from the Washington State Penitentiary.
Kayla finds the letter bizarre and has no idea how it ended up in her house. Even though she doesn’t respond, she receives another letter a few days later. Believing she might be the target of some kind of scam, she decides that if more letters arrive, she may need to ask the police to help her investigate.
In the meantime, she tries to cope with her loss, grief, and constant headaches by immersing herself in work and keeping busy. Kayla illustrates children’s books. It's her passion and it has always been enough to pay the bills. The house she and her husband bought a few years ago is quite old and constantly in need of repairs. Lately, however, it seems as though more and more things are going wrong. The lights flicker constantly, the doorbell seems to have a life of its own, and the leaking roof requires Kayla’s immediate attention.
While searching for a local handyman to help with the repairs, she meets Aiden. He offers to fix her roof and electrical system at a reasonable price. However, there’s something about the attractive, brooding man of few words that Kayla finds irritating.
After attempting to join a self-help group, she unexpectedly runs into Aiden at a bar. He wastes no time telling her that he’s attracted to her and wants to take things further. Although Kayla believes it’s a bad idea to start something with someone she barely knows, a small part of her wonders if it might be the right kind of distraction from her own thoughts. Still, she hesitates to give in.
Everything changes one night when Kayla wakes up with the terrifying feeling that someone is inside her house—watching her. Panicked and desperate to escape the threat, she flees and ends up rattled and soaking wet in front of Aiden’s apartment door.
“It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.”
If this isn’t your first book by J.T. Geissinger, then you already know to expect the unexpected. Reading Perfect Strangers taught me that last year. The only things I was certain of were that the story would end with an unexpected plot twist and that I would be emotionally devastated by the end.
I’m going to keep my personal thoughts brief. Not because I don’t have a lot to say, but because I’m afraid of giving too much away.
I chose to immersive read the story, and it was a fantastic decision because the voice actors did an incredible job narrating it. I was immediately drawn in, and by the time I finished chapter one, I already knew this story would consume my entire weekend. It was absolutely unputdownable.
The story contains many mysterious elements, and at its heart are two main characters with undeniable chemistry. I was eager to get to know them while also trying to unravel the story’s secrets.
I had a strong hunch about where the story was heading, but in the end, there was so much more to it than I expected. The reveal was devastating and beautiful at the same time. My emotions ran wild, and even though I suspected what was coming, it still hit me like a freight train. This story deeply moved me.
I don’t think this book fits neatly into a single genre. It’s unique, and I haven’t read anything quite like it before.
For now, all I’ll say is that you can expect a contemporary romance with spicy scenes, role-playing, eerie paranormal elements, mystery, and a touch of dark romance.
I found myself completely immersed in the story of two people discovering the missing piece of their souls along with an unconventional perspective on life, love, and death that truly challenged my beliefs.
Add this to your TBR immediately.
Thank me later.
