Gisele Stein (the brilliant mind behind Gesa Neitzel’s non-fiction) has done it again! If you thought Book 1 was intense, 'The Tides That Turned Us' takes the Pyre Song Trilogy to a whole new level. I loved how the story expanded globally, taking Alva to the African wilderness while Ember fights for survival in the brutal Saltholm Prison. The character development is incredible; Alva’s journey to face her inner darkness is raw and haunting. This sequel is darker, deeper, and filled with ancient secrets that keep you guessing. It’s rare for a second book to surpass the first, but Gisele managed to do just that. It's a masterful blend of magic, prophecy, and a fight for freedom. I am officially obsessed and cannot wait for the final conclusion!

Mir hatte bereits der 1. Teil sehr gut gefallen, der zweite Teil hat mich gleich von Anfang an überzeugt und gefesselt! Witchy urban Fantasy, die sehr reale Bezüge/Themen anspricht - female Rage, Patriarchat… Bin sehr gespannt auf den 3. Teil!
