Prof. Suresh Sundaramurthy is Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, India. He completed his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Roorkee and has held postdoctoral and visiting faculty, research positions at international and national institutions (CUNY, USA, AIT Thailand, JNCASR, Bengaluru, IIT Kanpur, Pondicherry University). His research interests include catalysts, reactor design, environmental biotechnology, waste-to-energy, nanoengineered materials, biofuels, decarbonation and green hydrogen. He has supervised numerous Ph.D. and master's students and has substantial experience in R&D projects. He has undertaken several Energy & Environment consultancy projects and technical services including Gas Authority of India Limited, NCAP-MoEFF&CC, Central Effluent Treatment Plant (Indore), CITIIS 2.0 (Ujjain), M.P. Pollution Control Board, Directorate of Urban Administration & Development, State Co-operative Dairy Federation, Animal & Poultry Development Corporation, C-STEP Pvt Ltd. He has published over 130 research papers in SCI-indexed journals, authored/edited 14 books and 41 book chapters/encyclopedia and holds four patents. He has been technical expert member of A.I.C.T.E and Bureau of Indian Standards. He has hosted and lead different technical industry-academia conference/webinars including ‘CO2 Reduction Processes for Future Energy Development’ involving participation from different industry experts with emphasis on conversion of CO2 into value added products, coal gasification and H2 as the source for future energy. He has received awards from SERB-IUSSTF, Ministry of Education, DST-Uttarakhand Council of Science and Technology, Institute of Engineers. He honoured as Fellow member of Society of Energy Engineers and Managers & Institution of Engineers (India).

Dr. Jyoti Verma is a Junior Project Associate at ONGC Energy Centre (OEC), focusing on project management, technology transfer, and commercialization. She mentors students in R&D and promotes academia-industry partnerships. With a passion for promoting safety, environmental health, and industry service, she has numerous scientific publications and serves as a reviewer for scientific manuscripts. Verma has expertise in renewable energy areas and field experience in CBM production enhancement and CO2 valorization projects. She is involved in biotechnological methods for extracting Rare Earth Elements. Verma has showcased leadership at national competitions like KPIT Sparkle Innovation Challenge and Smart India Hackathon. Recognized for her contributions, she has received Letters of Appreciation from NIT Trichy and ONGC Energy Centre's Director General.

Moonis Ali Khan received his doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Applied Chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India, in 2009. From 2009 to 2011, he worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Yonsei University, South Korea and Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia. In 2011, he joined the Chemistry Department at the King Saud University (KSU), Saudi Arabia as an Assistant Professor. Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor at KSU. He is an interfacial chemist and his research is focused on the synthesis and development of novel materials for environmental remediation applications. To date, he has guided two doctoral students for their respective degrees. He has published more than hundred (research and review) articles and has two U.S. patents to his credit.

Dr. Marta Otero obtained her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at University of León (Spain), since then having occupied several lecturer and researcher positions, including a Marie Curie fellowship at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP, Portugal), a Ramón y Cajal contract at University of León and a Principal Researcher position at University of Aveiro (Portugal). Since 2022, she is Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Chemistry and Physics of the University of León. The research activity of Dr. Otero has focussed three main fields: (i) the management, recovery, and valorization of carbonaceous wastes; (ii) the development of new materials for a sustainable water treatment; and (iii) wastewater bioremediation. Along them, she has participated in multiple research projects and transfer projects in collaboration with industry, having been project evaluator for various entities. In addition, she has (co)oriented 3 postdoctoral fellows and 9 doctorate students. She has also been editor and/or guess editor of several books, journals and special issues, having acted as reviewer of more than 350 research works (Clarivate “Top Peer Reviewer”). To date, Dr. Otero has (co)authored 3 patents and around 175 scientific papers, with a cite score of 7,700 citations (H index=50), having been listed among top 2% scientists in the last two lists (2021, 2022) released by Stanford University.

Professor Byong-Hun Jeon is a Professor and Director of Leaders in Industry-University Cooperation (LINC) at Hanyang University, South Korea. He holds BS degree in Mineral and Petroleum Engineering from Hanyang University, and earned both his MS and Ph. D. degrees at the Pennsylvania State University, USA. He is an active Chair of the Reviewers Board for the National Research Foundation of Korea, Ministry of Education, South Korea. Professor Jeon is also an Advisory Committee Member for SMTECH, South Korea. He is actively serving as an Editorial board member of several internationally acclaimed journals including Frontiers in Microbiology, Energies, and Geosystem Engineering. He is frequently acting as session Chair and co-organizer of Geochemistry division in American Chemical Society National Meeting & Exposition, USA.
He has conducted world-leading research in Environmental Chemistry and Environmental Biotechnology. He has published more than 250 research articles in internationally acclaimed research journals including Nature communication, Energy and Environmental Science, Coordination Chemistry Reviews and Trends in Biotechnology, etc. Moreover, his applied research in environmental technology has fruitfully provided him over 25 patents and 3 technology transfers. His prolific research has attracted over 8000 citations to his articles. His current research interests include advanced biological wastewater treatment using microalgae and plants as ecofriendly bio-tools for the improved removal of nutrients and contaminants from wastewater. His research group is primarily investigating bioremediation and wastewater treatment with major emphasis on biodegradation and removal of organic micro-pollutants in wastewater using microbial tools. Specific interest has been on microalgal and plant removal of emerging contaminants such as pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) and dyes. He has developed advanced wastewater treatment via coupling of microalgae cultivation for improved removal of N, P, and emerging organic contaminants from wastewater, and further utilization of microalgal biomass for bioenergy production. He is also investigating the co-digestion of wastewater sludge with high-strength organic waste for enhanced biogas production to develop an economically feasible process. He has established the coupling of the wastewater treatment system with bioenergy production for generating biofuel products using the recovered biomass from wastewater treatment. His specific research interests include biodegradation, fate and transport of environmental pollutants, aquatic ecotoxicology and ecology, environmental microbiology, and bioenergy.
