'Quien haga la sopa que se la coma' (He who makes the soup should eat it) is a manifesto by Auguste Blanqui, a classic of revolutionary socialism, commented on by Marx and Engels. Blanqui argues that wealth is born of intelligence and work, but that land and capital, fundamental to its creation, have been illegitimately appropriated by a minority. For Blanqui, the solution lies in the abolition of property rights and the implementation of association as the basis for a just and egalitarian society, where the instruments of labor belong to those who use them.
