His work on alpine medicinal flora includes leading multi-institutional, government-funded projects on endangered Himalayan herbs.


Dr. Hemant Sood
is a professor in the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics at Jaypee University of Information Technology, India. She has over 18 years of academic and research experience in plant biotechnology, with a specialization in plant tissue culture, genetic transformation, and the sustainable utilization of high-altitude medicinal flora.
