New Moon Deluxe Collector's Edition

I love all of the books, but New Moon has a special place kn my heart. I used to identify with it a lot, back when my mental health was critical. I‘m a bit better now, but I still feel this in my soul.

Ich hätte es ja nicht für möglich gehalten, aber New Moon steht Twilight (Bis[s] zum Morgengrauen) wirklich in nichts nach. Bekanntermaßen ist das erste Buch einer Serie ganz gut und alle nachfolgenden sind dann oftmals ziemlich lahm. Aber so ist es hier wirklich absolut nicht. New Moon ist wirklich genial. Ich kann das nicht in Worte fassen, aber es ist mindestens genauso gut wie Twilight. Wer sich nicht sicher ist, ob er der englischen version gewachsen ist, sollte vielleicht vorher testweise das englischsprachige (kostenlose) Zusatzmaterial zu Twilight lesen. Aber ich finde, es ist eigentlich sehr verständlich. Also abschließend möchte ich nochmals sagen, dass es wirklich außerordentlich empfehlenswert ist. Naja und ansonsten erscheint die deutsche Version Bis(s) zur Mittagsstunde ja im Frühjahr 2007 (ich persönlich konnte & wollte nicht so lange warten)

An accident which changes Bellas world. What should she do without Edward? Very dramatic, but also very romantic. Every fan should have read it.

Mir hat New Moon am besten von allen Büchern der Twilight-Saga gefallen, weil es so gut mit den Emotionen spielt. Diese unglaubliche Tragik wird sensationell gut beschrieben. Es fällt sehr leicht, mit Bella mitzufühlen, was eine außerordentliche Leistung von Seiten der Autorin ist!

After an incident at the Cullens house, Edward decides that Bella will be better off if he’s no longer a part of her life. He promises her that it will be like he never existed. So overnight his entire family packs everything up and leaves town. But for Bella this is like her worst nightmare came true. How could she ever forget the love of her life? 
Twilight was the first book I’ve ever read in English voluntarily and so it comes to no surprise that New Moon was the second. It has been my teenage guilty pleasure book forever and therefore I will always love it. Rereading it as an adult has shown me that this book is of course not perfect at all. It has its flaws and not all the characters are super likable. However I still feel a strong attachment to characters and the story itself. For me it’s almost like going down memory lane with a strong wave of nostalgia coming my way. I know Bella can be a naive idiot a lot of times and Edward sometimes seems a bit weird but I still owe them my love to reading English books and I will never forget that. But I also have to admit that New Moon has always been the book I liked the least in the entire series. It’s just so depressing to see how lost Bella is without him and how she uses Jacob to make herself feel better.

Considering the fact that this series keeps reminding me how much I love reading I can’t rate it any lower than 4 stars. I know not everyone will agree on this but that’s just how it is for me.
