Es war so spannend, dass ich es in zwei Sessions gelesen habe! Ich habe lange überlegt, ob ich zu den Büchern greife oder die Graphic Novel lese und habe mich glücklicherweise für letztere Option entschieden.
Die Geschichte ist wirklich super spannend und gut geschrieben, hat jedoch auch einige wiederkehrende Elemente, die man einfach schon aus dem Dystopiebereich kennt :) Das fand ich allerdings nicht schlimm, gerade weil die Legend-Reihe ja schon ein Klassiker im Jugend-Dystopiegenre ist. Ich wurde richtig gut unterhalten, die Plottwists waren sehr gut eingesetzt und ich konnte richtig in die Welt eintauchen. Gerade durch die tollen Illustrationen wirkte alles noch einmal intensiver und anschaulicher. Trotz der Kürze konnte ich absolut mit den Charakteren mitfühlen und freue mich auf die nächsten beiden Teile!
Bei der Adaption gibt es für mich noch einen Stern Luft nach oben. Gerade bei der Stelle, wo June die Wahrheit über ihren Bruder herausfindet, konnte ich kaum ihre Gedankengänge nachvollziehen. Das wirkte dann zu „abgehandelt“ auf mich.
