Convergence offers a comprehensive survey of Robert Parker's prolific artistic journey spanning over seventy years. This richly illustrated volume showcases Parker's work across multiple mediums-including painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, writing, acrylic sculpture, and glass-highlighting his contributions to contemporary art through the lens of geometric abstraction, hard-edge painting, and color field techniques. Organized by medium and period, each section features a brief introduction offering context for the selected works, insights into Parker's creative motivations, and detailed descriptions including medium, date, and dimensions. The 300-page collection also includes a complete list of exhibitions and shows, and concludes with a thoughtful "Afterword" reflecting on the artistic movements and influences that shaped Parker's evolving style. Two compelling essays by esteemed art critics and writers-known for their national and international work-add further depth and perspective to this retrospective. Whether you're a collector, student, or admirer of abstract and contemporary art, Convergence provides an intimate and visually stunning exploration of one artist's lifelong commitment to creative expression.
