    Buch (Taschenbuch)

Compelling sequel to "The woman in cabin 10"

If you enjoyed The Woman in Cabin 10, The Woman in Suite 11 is certainly a worthy successor. I do want to emphasise the word novel, however, especially if you’re coming to this story after watching the movie adaptation. While you don’t necessarily need to have read the first novel to understand this one, I would highly recommend it. The movie retains the central mystery of the book but makes several significant changes to the character relationships and plot, particularly towards the ending. That said, The Woman in Suite 11 introduces an entirely new mystery, with a different central setup and cast of characters, so the story itself will still make sense even if your only introduction to Lo Blacklock was through the movie. Much like The Woman in Cabin 10, this book is compelling, suspenseful, and mysterious right up until the very last page — a true page-turner. Personally, I was a little disappointed by some of the character development (and at times in my perspective incongruence of emotional dissonance), although I can understand why those choices make sense within the setting and context of the novel. Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in continuing Lo Blacklock’s story and seeing where her next mystery takes her. *Spoiler for those who are interested in reading this book after having seen the movie: I’m referring to Ben, Lo’s former romantic interest and boyfriend. His fate differs between the movie and the first novel, which may make his appearance in this book somewhat confusing if you’ve only seen the film.

    Buch (Gebundene Ausgabe)
