“Some Remarks on the Life and Character of General David Cobb†offers a biographical sketch of David Cobb, a prominent figure in the American Revolutionary War and early American politics. Delivered as a lecture at the Taunton Lyceum in 1830 by Francis Baylies, this work provides insights into Cobb's military service, public life, and personal character. Baylies's remarks shed light on the qualities that made Cobb a respected leader and citizen during a formative period in American history. The book will appeal to those interested in the lives of the Founding Fathers, the history of Massachusetts, and the American Revolution.
