A Court of Growth and Change

Bewertung am 01.01.2026

Bewertungsnummer: 2689546

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

After everything Feyre went through under the mountain, her life is far from being the fairy tale she imagined. Haunted by her experiences and struggling with the role she is expected to play, she finds herself suffocating rather than healing. While Tamlin tries to protect her at all costs, Feyre slowly begins to realize that love alone is not enough if it comes at the price of her freedom. When Rhysand re-enters her life, Feyre is drawn into a different part of the faerie world, one that challenges everything she thought she knew about herself, power, and love. Going into the second book, I already had high expectations, and somehow A Court of Mist and Fury managed to exceed them. The world expands so much in this book, and I loved finally seeing more of Prythian and learning about its politics, courts, and hidden secrets. Compared to the first book, this one feels much more intense and emotionally complex, especially when it comes to Feyre’s character. Her growth throughout the story was incredibly satisfying to read, and I loved watching her find her own strength and voice. The characters were once again a huge highlight for me. New dynamics, deeper relationships, and unexpected friendships made the story even more compelling. There were moments that were rather unexpected and made it difficult to put the book down. It definitely feels richer and more layered than the first one, without losing the romantic elements that made ACOTAR so enjoyable. A fantastic continuation of the series that combines romance, character growth, and an expanded fantasy world, and one that made me immediately want to keep reading.

ACOTAR 2: time to get dirty!

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

I actually wanted to take a break after Book 1 of the ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas, but it was highly recommended I continue straight away since it sets the pace for the rest of the series: so I did! Well, my friends, it turns out that “sets the pace” is quite an understatement. A better description would be: Book 2 takes everything we know about Prythian, dumps it on the floor, stomps on it a bit, and then hands it back to you with an innocent smile. Since defeating Amarantha, Feyre’s life has radically changed. Not only must the kingdoms attempt to return to normal after years of repression, but Feyre must now learn to live as one of them. The life granted to her by the High Lords has made her fae herself, perfect for starting a new life with her beloved Tamlin. But the nights spent in Amarantha’s dungeons have left wounds Tamlin cannot heal. Now, she must learn to navigate both her new body and her fractured state of mind. ✨ While ACOTAR has strong Beauty and the Beast vibes, A Court of Mist and Fury turns darker and more emotional. Feyre’s actions have broken her, and in Book 2 we watch her try to heal. It’s no longer the wonder of the fae we’re exploring, it’s the strength of one’s soul. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would absolutely recommend it, even if you only felt mediocre about Book 1! In fact, I think I liked this one even more than the first, despite the emotionally heavy undertone running through it.

Welcome to the Night Court

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

It's this volume that got me falling in love head over heels with this series and I'm not joking when I tell you I could hardly think of anything else for the few days it took me to read it. A court of mist and fury is the kind of book you want to finish as quickly as possible because you just can't put it down, it's so good, but you don't want to finish it too fast because once you read it.. you read it. How I wish I could read this for the very first time one more time.

Like the previous book this one...

Bewertet: Buch (Gebundene Ausgabe)

Like the previous book this one offered lots of suspense, unpredictable twists and so much emotions. Feyre's character developement was awesome once again. This book also tells us a lot about Rhysand and his friends and it's kinda impossible to not grow fond of them.
