Connect with the powerful history of May Day, from its origins as an ancient celebration of spring to present-day actions led by workers, anarchists, and communities to uplift labor and people's history. A People's History of May Day provides a pocket-sized glimpse into the legacy of this beloved radical holiday, alongside insights about efforts to disrupt working class movements. This zine offers vignettes of May Day by year, citing specific actions, successes, struggles, and demands from around the globe, spanning 1871 to 2020. For your local labor library, your radical reading group, or for inspiration to organize with your coworkers and community, this zine will connect you to the May Day spirit: "At base, May Day isn't about labor: it's about abundance. It's about excess, pleasure, freedom--the burgeoning source of life itself."
