sehr gut lesbare englische Übersetzung des japanischen Buches. Anrührende Geschichte einer Mädchenfreundschaft und einer Familiengeschichte im 20. Jahrhundert. Hochinteressante Verknüpfung mit historischen Fakten (Holocaust, Olympiade 1972) und den daraus resultierenden Verbindungen zwischen Japan und Deutschland. Sehr abgeklärte, unaufgeregte, sehr "japanische" Erzählhaltung. Sehr entspannende Lektüre, mit feinen Spannungsfäden.
