Dating on Ice von Jennifer Iacopelli ist eine herzerwärmende, sportliche Romance, die perfekt für Fans von Enemies-to-Lovers und Eishockey-Settings ist. Die Geschichte überzeugt vor allem durch ihre sympathischen Charaktere, witzigen Dialoge und das authentische Sportumfeld.
Die Protagonistin ist ehrgeizig, schlagfertig und angenehm realistisch, während der männliche Love Interest zunächst mit typischen Klischees spielt, im Laufe der Handlung aber immer mehr Tiefe zeigt. Besonders gefallen hat mir die Chemie zwischen den beiden – ihre Wortgefechte sind humorvoll und machen einfach Spaß beim Lesen.
Das Eishockey-Setting bringt frischen Wind in die Liebesgeschichte und ist gut recherchiert, ohne zu technisch zu werden. Auch Themen wie Selbstzweifel, Leistungsdruck und persönliche Entwicklung werden schön in die Handlung eingebettet.
Ein kleiner Punktabzug geht an einige vorhersehbare Momente in der Story, die dem Lesevergnügen aber keinen großen Abbruch tun. Insgesamt ist Dating on Ice ein locker-leichter, romantischer Roman mit Herz, Humor und Sportflair – ideal für gemütliche Lesestunden.
