Chance meeting and how a trip can change your whole life

Lesesucht am 21.02.2026

Bewertungsnummer: 3052979

Bewertet: eBook (ePUB 3)

Daisy is 28 years and left her home in Scotland with her grandpa behind to fallow her dream to become an actress in London. Unfortunately so far the big break is still missing. She hoped being part of a new series production could change this but a bad article about it crashed once again this dream. To make money she works at a fancy event which is also handy as from there she can travel back home and spent time with her grandpa. At the event she meets Evan and he offers her money to travel with her up to Scotland as his hometown is close to hers. This chance meeting will change their lives. I loved the idea of this book but unfortunately this was not for me. I liked the Scottish vibe but I was really surprised that more than once Whiskey was written like this. I mean this is not Scottish so it felt wrong. Also the whole story was too predictable for me and I didn´t get the whole jealousy (I mean they just met) and the light love triangle. I didn’t like the characters and also for me there was no chemistry between them. Daisy wants to be independent due to the parents which were never there for her and her ex boyfriend. But this is not the feeling I get when reading this book. Evan is constantly saving her and the way she behaves towards him I could not get. Evan as character is OK, but it is clear what huge secret he has which will cause again a scene with Daisy. His brother Dane I could not like at all. I mean he goes hiking with Daisy, she has issues with her ankle and he leaves her and then Evan appears out of the blue to save her? So the light love triangle between them did not work for me. So I really wanted to like this story but unfortunately this book didn´t work for me.
