Mehmet Turgut, MD, PhD, is Professor of Neurosurgery at Aydın Adnan Menderes University School of Medicine, Aydın, Turkey. He graduated from the Ege University School of Medicine, İzmir, Turkey and later specialized in neurosurgery in Hacettepe University Hospitals, Ankara, Turkey. In 2004, he received the PhD degree from the Department of Embryology and Histology, Ege University Health Sciences Institute, İzmir, Turkey. His fields of expertise include developmental neuroscience, pediatric neurosurgery, infectious diseases of the central nervous system, and peripheral nerve surgery. He is an editorial board member for 25 international journals including European Spine Journal, Surgical Neurology International , Journal of Neurological Surgery Part A: Central European Neurosurgery, Journal of Brachial Plexus and Peripheral Nerve Injury, Journal of Spine & Neurosurgery, and Journal of Neurosciences in Rural Practice and a reviewer for a wide range of international journals and research programs. Dr. Turgut is the lead or co-author of more than 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals and about 100 book chapters and he is one of the editors in 18 books .

Niyazi Acer, PhD , is Professor of Anatomy at İstanbul Arel University School of Medicine, İstanbul, Turkey. He received Master degree from the Department of Anatomy, Erciyes University, Kayseri, Turkey and later received the PhD degree from the Department of Anatomy, Erciyes University Health Sciences Institute, Kayseri, Turkey in 2004. His fields of expertise include neuroscience, neuroimaging, structural MR data, and DTI data analysis.  In 2014 and 2015, Postdoctoral studies in the Department of Neuroradiology, Department of Otolaryngology and Neurology for one year volume calculations on structural MR images, functional MR images and diffusion tensor learnt how to make data analyses on images in Johns Hopkins University. He is the lead or co-author of more than 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals and about 10 book chapters.

Ahmet T. Turgut, MD, is Professor of Radiology at Ankara Medipol University School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey. He has nearly 25 years’ experience in the field of radiology with key roles in diagnostics, academics and administration. His research interests include diagnostic and interventional oncologic imaging and the use of hybrid imaging techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of cancers in particular. He has published more than 100 original papers in peer-reviewed journals and has authored 60 chapters in several textbooks in English including many on neuroradiology. He is editor of three reference books published by Springer. He has given more than 90 invited lectures at distinguished scientific meetings.

Concezio Di Rocco, MD, is Professor of Neurosurgery and he is director of Pediatric Neurosurgery (INI-International Neuroscience Institute-Hannover at Otto Von Guericke University), the International Master Course of Chinese Pediatric Neurosurgery (Beijing United Family Hospital and Clinics and Capital Medical University, China) and the Postgraduate Course in Pediatric Neurosurgery, El Gaala, Family Hospital, Cairo, Egypt. Since 2002, he has been President of the European Society for Paediatric Neurosurgery; he is also a past Vice President of the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies and the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery. He is a member of the editorial board of a number of national and international journals and main Editor of Child’s Nervous System and Advances and Technical Standards in Neurosurgery . He is also co-editor of the Springer book series Principles of Pediatric Neurosurgery. Dr Di Rocco is one of the editors of well-known neurosurgical manuals and textbooks including Neurosurgery , Pediatric Neurosurgery  and Textbook of Pediatric Neurosurgery .
