Kurt returns to Prague, now the capital of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia to find Peter Pan's spymaster Captain Kopecký, now the head of a resistance network. Whilst in Bohemia, Kurt witnesses a sample of the terror that will spread across Europe, when a village of Roma are rounded up and murdered by an SS murder squad. Kurt's life will never be the same again after rescuing one of the Roma children Luca, hiding the boy in plain sight.
Blitzkrieg is unleashed on Poland and Kurt is sent with a team of agents and a unit of secret field police into Poland with Army Group North, into the fiery heart of a bloody and savage war, advancing on Warsaw on a top-secret mission. Kurt's unknown guardian angel, SS-Untersturmführer Kasper von Görtz's obsession with Kurt intensifies.
