I'd been wanting to check out Phantom Busters for a long time, and I'm really glad I finally did - this series is straight-up awesome. The humor was definitely already at it's absolute peak, and it's just the beginning - can't wait to see how they'll make me laugh in the next vol. From the Otohime filter joke to the absurdity of the Slam Dunk homage, there wasn't a single panel where I didn't feel entertained. What I particularly adored, however, was how masterfully a character's depth is shown or hinted at so subtily. The timing is balanced perfectly, and I love how each character, although seemingly chaotic and carefree, has so much dept and unexplored stories to tell. I love a good found family trope, and combined with pure shonen action, I seriously couldn't ask for more.
