Honeymoon Phase

Returning to Fletcher Mountain feels a bit like coming home and I was so excited to read the next installment Honeymoon Phase by Amy Daws. This is Addison and Luke‘s story.   Luke is such a sweetheart and he’s a bit sick of seeing his brothers happy and married. Because for him it seems unreachable and the only girl he liked turned him down. I really liked how much effort Luke put in and it’s just so heartwarming to see how he’s trying to win Addison over.   Addison is a very good friend and she’s giving her all to continue the family business of the local lumberyard. But that comes with the stipulation of being married because it’s too much work for one person alone. I really liked how hardworking and dedicated Addison is. She liked being in nature and isn’t your typical heroine.   Luke and Addison are a great team and even though they pretend to date and get married, the line between what’s real and what’s pretended quickly blurs. I loved seeing how Addison slowly sees Luke as more than just a friend. There were so many cute and funny scenes, and the story is perfect to read cuddled up and for sure puts a smile on your face.   I adored Honeymoon Phase and can’t get enough of Fletcher Mountain and I’m already so excited for Everly‘s book. 4,5 stars.   (Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an arc.)
