Sehr zu empfehlen! Spannend vom Anfang bis zum Ende. Wie immer, bei dieser Autorin, interessanter Plot-Twist. Erstes Buch welches ich in Englisch gelesen habe. Leicht zu verstehen.

The new thriller from Freida McFadden is again a totally gripping story. Everything is devious and precisely calculated. The „mother“ (which one?) is seriously disturbed and totally focused on what she wants. Can we trust the father—the mother, or the surrogate mother? And what exactly is going on with the friends? Irrational! I would have gone to the police long asap. This raises the question of why this isn't happening. The suspense is immense and will delight any thriller lover. How can a person be so deceitful—a total nightmare that stirs deep wounds until the end of one's life. Or is it simply love or sophistication at play? And always—a thrilling and – satisfying? - ending, really ? I doubt it. I loved this book.
