Roberto Luque Escalona was born in Holguin, Cuba, and studied in the UNAM (México) and University of Havana. A participant in the revolution against Batista and the opposition of Castro's regime he is currently a journalist with several published books, among them: Yo, el mejor de todos (biography of Ernesto Guevara), Rolando Masferrer en el país de los mitos, and the novelas: Bonpland #8 and Lorenzo y el Cordero del Diablo. Two novels with one plot in common: the fight for freedom. The first part of the book consists of a plan to kidnap an intellectual friend of Fidel Castro's in exchange for the son of the protagonist, trapped in the island-prison. The action is never ending and it seems to have happened or will happen. A fast paced adventure and a game of intelligence. Later, the second novel which consists of an attempt on Fidel Castro's life, perfectly designed, but that fails to materialize due to changes impossible to anticipate. This book is a true literary gift and a remarkable thriller. One of the most successful novels in readers. It seems that it is a real story because the reader plays by guessing the characters and enjoying the ending.
