Alchemy and a Cup of Tea

Another enjoyable addition to the series! I really like Rebecca Thorne’s writing style, and this was once again a pleasant and engaging audiobook. What I particularly appreciate about this series is how the books are connected while still working as standalone stories. You can enjoy each adventure on its own without necessarily having to read everything in order, which is exactly what I’ve been doing. However, I keep running into the same issue: while there is action and conflict, the tension never quite builds to the level I’d like. The climactic moments feel a little underwhelming, and I find myself wishing for higher stakes or a more compelling confrontation. Overall, a charming and well-written cozy fantasy that I enjoyed listening to, even if it didn’t completely satisfy my craving for suspense.
