My Favourite Mistake

My Favourite Mistake isn’t the first story by this author I try to read, or rather try to finish. This time, I had hope when I read the introduction. To give up an already close-to-settled life in the Big Apple and take the risk of moving back to Ireland. To find a new job and face the unknown. This sounded promising to me, until it wasn’t. Somehow, I couldn’t get warm with the main protagonist, Anna. It is not all that bad to be a middle-aged woman in menopause; she seemed to me to be so unsatisfied. I have not given up, there will be other books by Marian Keyes, I may enjoy.
