The banter and humor between the friends are so good and made me laugh so much throughout the whole book. Readers get to see the loving interactions between the familiar characters and how they treat their family, especially seeing Carter as a dad. Rosie and Adam are vulnerable to each other and start to be each other's safe place while supporting their partner as much as they can. Both are loving and respectful toward each other and they communicate to resolve problems. Another great point is the love for animals that is represented in the book. I mean, who doesn't love cute animals? All in all, it was a lovely read with the best found family vibes ever, a cute little dinosaur-loving toddler and a hot hockey DILF - like the characters in the book loved to say.
