Journalist Nader Fouda begins talking about the term "paranormal." He says that whoever hears it feels that he is about to enter the world of quackery, sorcery, and superstition. There are those who, as soon as they hear it, feel that they are on the cusp of entering a world that has no rules to govern it and no laws to follow, but they are convinced of its existence and believe. With all his existing phenomena, Nader chose to be among the category of people who, when he hears an unfamiliar need, sees that it is true or part of it. In these cases, he is not satisfied with being among the spectators, but rather decided to be on the field and participate in the events.
In this novel, Nader Fouda takes the path of an investigator more than a journalist. At first, he did not accept the idea, but he sees that people in the Arab world treat him with the logic of "Ask an experienced person and do not ask a doctor."
The story of the novel begins with the arrival of an answer to the journalist Nader, in which a girl named Fatima addresses him, telling him that his fame is what prompted her to send him this desperate letter, but the problem is not her problem, but rather a problem in the neighbors' house. They refused for her to communicate with the journalist Nader, but after hearing about Nader's distinguished work made them convinced that he might have the solution, as the situation was tragic, especially if it involved helpless children, and those responsible for the problem stipulated that they would not tell him more than this, and that when he came to meet them, they would tell him the details. So Nader goes to Sharqia, specifically to the Zagazig area, to see what these people are up to.
What is the secret of this mysterious answer, and what is the story of these neighbors?
