The Exchange After the Firm

Fifteen years after what happened in The Firm, Mitch McDeere has returned and is ready to fight for justice once again. I was always wondering how the author would bring back this character, an older version of the one in the first book. I found it interesting to discover the new additions and changes to the people around Mitch McDeere. What happened in The Firm is mentioned briefly throughout, where it fits into the plot, but it doesn’t get too much attention. So everyone can read The Exchange without bothering to read the first book first. In The Exchange, it seems as if everyone has a target on their back, as there are many people involved worldwide. But who are they fighting against? Mitch McDeere does know only one thing: to win, he has to keep more than one ace up his sleeve. Not as breathtaking as expected, but still worth reading. I found the author’s note interesting. John Grisham doesn’t know yet where he might place the character of Mitch McDeere next. He leaves that open for now, but there is a chance that he might reappear again.
