Girl, Interrupted TikTok made me buy it!

The book is short, but way more detailed than the movie! I love the writing style and the end was also kind of emotional. I also liked that it’s described why the book is named ‘girl, interrupted’ and it was very interesting to read. I definitely recommend for such a low price! (If you love the movie, you should def get it!)

luv it!! definetly recommend, although some parts can be a bit extreme. her experiences are very intriguing and overall its interesting to see what mental health care in the Us looked like during the 60ts. very good book

This book takes you through so many different emotions. It makes you feel tense, sad and angry. It makes you laugh and a few sentences later you’re upset again. Still keep in mind while reading that this is based on a true story and how mental health has been treated almost sixty years ago. So some points (and idioms) of this novel are clearly outdated. But I was most impressed with the ending of this book and how the author brilliantly explains the insides of her brain, her feelings and her sickness.

I bought the book because I loved the movie. But in the end the book kinda disappointed me. I expected it to be more like a story and less than a collection of "short stories". I also was disappointed in how much the book and the movie differ from each other.
