Training the Heart

Training The Heart by Paisley Hope is the second book in the Silver Pines Ranch Series. This is Ivy and Wade‘s book.   Wade owns the Silver Pines Ranch, and he is a grump through and through. After his last marriage failed, he isn’t looking for love again, and  he definitely hasn’t expected Ivy. Wade is just amazing and hot, and the list could go on and on. After reading the dedication of this book, I already knew I could only love him, and everyone needs a Wade in their life and you just have to meet him.   Ivy has worked with horses her whole life and she is very excited to start her new job at the Silver Pines Ranch. I absolutely loved how horse training and derby racing was shown in this world and Ivy poured her heart and soul into it. She is such an amazing person who has experienced a lot of hardships in her life and relationships and Ivy deserves nothing but the best and finally gets that in this book.   Ivy and Wade have such a perfect grumpy-sunshine-dynamic and they work together amazingly. I was rooting for them from the beginning and their journey was just incredible. There were so many amazing scenes like Wade taking care of Ivy, their deep talks, the one bed hotel scene and just them creating a home and family together. They truly have a connection and I loved how they explored it and that made the spice even better. I loved this story from the first to the last page and can only highly recommend this.   Training The Heart is easily my new favorite cowboy romance and I’m completely obsessed with this book. 5 stars.   (ARC kindly provided in exchange for a review.)
