When Grumpy Met Sunshine

Mit ihren spritzigen und witzigen Dialogen haben Mabel und Alfie sofort mein Herz erobert. Die beiden sind das perfekte Beispiel, dass Liebe und Glück oft an unerwarteten Orten zu finden sind Das Buch überzeugt mit ganz viel Humor, Romantik und Emotion. Es ist ein wahrer Schatz für Leser, die rom-coms lieben.

When Grumpy Met Sunshine by Charlotte Stein is an opposites-attract romance. This is the story of Mabel and Alfie.   Alfie was a professional soccer player, and he is rather closed off and a private person. We only get to see glimpses of him, and it was very difficult to connect to him and sometimes he was too grumpy. At the same time, it made people even more curious about him and a biography about him is being published. And that’s where Mabel comes into the picture.   Mabel is a ghost writer, and she has such a vibrant and creative personality. She is basically the opposite in every way and their writing process is quite the ride. Mabel is a lovely person and basically carried this story forward.   The concept and title immediately intrigued me, and it was definitely a cute story, but I wanted more from it. Unfortunately, I just didn’t feel the romance in this story and there were too many hurdles for me.   Overall, if you like romcoms, this might be a story for you. 3 stars.   (ARC kindly provided in exchange for a review.)
