    Buch (Taschenbuch)

    A very immersive read!!

    This was my first novel from June Hur and I am very happy I found her work. Set in historic Korea one follows the story and investigation of two young but very different people. Based on true historic figures and events, the story is very interesting and not fully predictable. Both characters are nicely designed and I found myself rooting for them. I can highly recommend this book.

    Loved this book soooooo much!!!!

    It was one of the best books, I‘ve ever read. I really love the tension, the love story ❤️ Both characters are green flags and the plot twist was on top When you are a kdrama Fan or want to read book that reads like an kdrama, you have to read this one!!! Thank you so much for the book!!!! More like this please!!!!

    A more than justified rebellion

    Loved this book even more than her former title ''The red palace''. The story features more mature themes than it's predecessor and generally has a darker vibe so please check out possible trigger warnings. June Hur is an incredible author, i honestly recommend all her books!

    I went into this with so much hope but I was let down, not only is the plot very confusing and things just dont make sense but also the main character is incredibly annoying and unlikeable. The murder clues where easy to understand foe my but not the mc which???? but then the result of it made no sense whatsoever. Furthermore, the romance feels forced and unnatural just like most of the lines characters say. I appreciate the historical accuracy but other than that? It really didnt hold up to the expectations I had for it.
