Fall of Ruin and Wrath

Ich habe mich total in das Buch verliebt. Die Handlung ist fesselnd und die Charaktere sehr interessant. Eine absolute Leseempfehlung von meiner Seite aus, man muss aber auch etwas Spice mögen. c:

The writing style is fluid and varied. The tension is constantly building and you are always longing to know how the story will develop. The idea behind it is not new, but it is certainly original. There isn't a lot of detail about the setting, I think because it's a book for a series. A sort of introduction. There is talk of a wider world, but the story focuses on one realm. You also learn less about the many “monsters” at first. Much will certainly only be revealed later. The relationship between Lis and Thorne is amusing, pleasant and sparkling. The author thankfully refrains from exaggerated political correctness. I like the book very much.

It offers an easy-to-follow narrative with a promising premise. The concept behind the book is intriguing and sets the stage for an engaging story. One notable drawback is the inclusion of unnecessary explicit content. While it is understandable that some stories may incorporate such elements, it felt excessive and at times, detracted from the narrative. The book's strength lies in its portrayal of characters communicating like ordinary individuals, which made for more relatable interactions. One area where the book could have excelled is in the depth of its storytelling. While the plot was engaging, there was a potential for further exploration of themes and character development.
