This story pushed me so far out of my comfort zone that I genuinely started questioning my own morals while reading. Caden King… is the literal definition of psychopathic and completely unhinged. He is obsessed with the FMC in a way that goes far beyond anything I’ve read before – and when I say he would do anything to have her… I mean absolutely nothing is off limits. This is enemies to lovers – but HEAVY on the enemies part. Rival gangs, brutal tension, and a dynamic that feels as dangerous as it is addictive. And honestly? Caden King is even worse than Kilian Carsen – which says EVERYTHING. This book made me feel physically sick at times. Uncomfortable. Disturbed. Completely on edge. And yet… I could not look away. It’s dark, twisted, and deeply unsettling – but also insanely gripping in a way that keeps you hooked no matter how messed up it gets. Definitely not for everyone. But if you love extreme dark romance that pushes boundaries… this will own you.

I started reading Lola kings books when she wasn’t that known and I practically had no reassurance if it would be good. But now she’s my favorite author and her books are the only ones I really can’t put away anymore. I loved her first book “giving in” as well as the rest of the series but ultimately my favorite is “beautiful fiend”. I loved her first Caden and the enemies to lovers just couldn’t have been better.
