A Photo Finish

All I can say is that I loved reading the Book and I stayed up all night just to finish it.The way Elsie Silver writes makes me forget everything else and I lose myself in her Books. I love the teasing between Violet and Cole and the Way they try to kinda Hate each other but can´t it is a nice sunshinexGrumpy Trope and I Am always all in for those. I will definetly start reading the 3 Book today

“A Photo Finish” hat mir unglaublich gut gefallen, viel besser als der erste Teil der Reihe! Storyline und Charaktere, die man ja schon aus dem Vorgänger kennt, wirken hier deutlich ausgereifter. Man merkt richtig, dass Elsie Silver als Autorin gewachsen ist. Was mir beim ersten Band noch zu viel war (die sehr dominanten Spice-Szenen) ist hier perfekt ausbalanciert. Es passt einfach alles: Gefühl, Spannung und die richtige Portion Leidenschaft. Ich mochte besonders, wie sich die Beziehung zwischen Violet und Cole entwickelt. Der Wechsel zwischen Vergangenheit und Gegenwart sowie die Chatverläufe geben tolle Einblicke in ihre Gedankenwelt. Dass die Geschichte aus beiden Perspektiven erzählt wird, macht vor allem Coles Verhalten viel nachvollziehbarer. Am Besten hat mir aber gefallen, wie gut Elsie Silver tiefgründige Themen wie Angstzustände und emotionale Selbstsabotage in diesen Liebesroman eingebracht hat. Stellenweise musste ich mir sogar eine Träne verdrücken Für mich ist “A Photo Finish” eine wunderschöne, gefühlvolle Fortsetzung, die Herz, Humor und Spice perfekt verbindet.

In this book we follow the love story of Violet and Cole. A story I was hooked since book 1 of the series and their encounter after the race. Something that intrigued me, too. It's really well written and told from both POVs in the first person what helped me to understand the protagonists better, which I could very good. Violet and Cole are deep and relatable characters that I could understand in full. The chemistry is high and their interaction is so good and humorous (for me). But there had been moments too that made me cry and laugh and simply feel so much. I wasn't really prepared for the plott twist but it makes so much sense. There are themes described in the book that might trigger and described in the authors note. Conclusion: Definitely better than the first book in the Gold Rush Ranch Series. Loved every interaction.
