What a story!

Bewertungsnummer: 2226477

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

This is just so good! This story is a mix of Vampire Academy and Hogwarts sans the magicians, but all about vampires and a bit of magic. There's tension, fight, and spice. It really gets hot. The writing is fluid and makes it easy to follow the story and the emotions going on. Most chapters are written from Aileens point of view and only a handful from the vampire Lord Ragnor. This gives me a better understanding of how Ragnor acts and how he reacts to certain things. I like the storyline and the twists. It's not otherworldly, but I could relate to it. The protagonists go through an evolution that I can only relate to a point. Aileen went through so much, and apparently, she's so mature, but on the other hand, she's not. It's understandable, but on a view of interactions, I just couldn't follow her. Ragnor in the other hand is that mature and still acts on certain matters out of line, but then I might understand him, if the little bites we get of him are connected to his past that we haven't jet known fully. I do understand a view things better by reading both POVs, but there are simply too many open questions that need answers, but a second book is in progress, so I only need to wait for them. *Conclusion* It's a different kind of love story with vampires with a lot of emotions going on. It's hot (spicy scens included). About the book: Aileen Henderson’s unassuming life conceals a dark past. Outside of work, she hides behind her larger-than-life best friend, Cassidy, whose constant need for attention suits Aileen—and her secrets—just fine. Until the night Aileen dies. Awakening to a new world of brutality, bloodlust, and betrayal, Aileen plots revenge against Ragnor Rayne, the monster who cursed her with the Imprint. The demon who turned her into a vampire. The man whose eyes haunt her dreams. She is going to make this vampire Lord regret the day he kissed her with the curse of immortality and made her his. If she can survive thed resist temptations of the flesh… *Infos* This is book one of the series. I've got an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review. This has not changed my mind about the book.
