A River of Golden Bones Book One of the Golden Court

The start of this series is wonderful and very easy to get into as the author writes in an immersive way. M.K. Mulford builds a world full of fantasy and a bit of wonder that makes you want to be part of her fairytale. I got swept up inside of this book and every word took me with it until the very end. The characters are all unique and loveable. Calla was especially relatable to me which, of course, was perfect as she is our main character. The love story in this book is cute and while there is definitely a strong focus on it, it never gets too overbearing. The spice is sprinkled well throughout the book and in my opinion it is well-written. One of my favorite parts were the side love stories and the friendship building that has strong found family vibes. All in all I would say ''A River of Golden Bones'' is worth a read for every Romantasy lover!
