An unreliable narrator, a strange story that turns into a fight for survival and elements of magical surrealism make this book the perfect read for anybody who likes weird contemporary literature.
The author finds the perfect balance between building tension and telling the story with their own unique style and even some sense of dark humor.

„I wish that I could drink the beauty. The emptiness is still inside me.“
Irgendwie hatte ich mir etwas mehr davon erhofft. Ich fand die Geschichte gut, die Message toll und vor allem die weirden Szenen habe ich geliebt!
Trotzdem fand ich „Death Valley“ teilweise etwas langweilig und ich glaube, das Thema war auch nicht wirklich meins.
Umso mehr freue ich mich auf „The Pisces!
