i read all 8 books within around 3 weeks. especially from book 5 onward the obsession got so bad i read around 1 book per night and loved. every. second. this was my first introduction to danmei as a genre, and since then ive read and started 2 more series, but none come even close to my love and adoration for these 8 books. all in all book 2 was my least favorite, the writing dragged on and personally the arc was the least interesting. yet still a 10/10 for me. the devotion, the ache, simply touching and even in its darkest moments full of a silent, unbreakable warmth.

Seeing Xie Lian and Hua Cheng together like this makes me so indescribably happy. Every time I look at the two, there's one thing that immediately comes to my mind; 'Unconditional Love', the purest there is.
