French Holiday

Merry's heart is broken and her sister marries her best friend, with whom she is secretly in love. To take her mind off things, she rents a castle in France. Once there, she realises that the castle is already occupied by Noah, whom Merry doesn't like at all. But they both decide to stay and become closer. My opinion: I really like the cover, even if it doesn't have much to do with the plot. Sarah Ready's writing style is very pleasant and easy to read. I really like Merry, she has a strong personality and tries to get her way. This also applies to Noah, who also has an opinion but remains fair. I like how the relationship between Merry and Noah develops. They go from being enemies to friends to lovers. Not always harmonious, but at a healthy pace. I think that's very nice. Merry also continues to develop and lets go of the old to embrace new things. Unfortunately, there were a few places where I found the tension lacking, but that's just my personal opinion. Nevertheless, the book is a lot of fun to read. I really liked the ending because it was just Merry and Noah! Really nice and a great ending. My conclusion: A great book with opinionated characters, lots of sparks and funny situations, but only minor flaws. Well worth the read!
