Das Cover finde ich ansprechend gestaltet. Die Illustration der beiden Hauptcharaktere ist gut gelungen. Die Hintergrundfarbe harmoniert wunderbar mit dem schönen Farbschnitt in der Erstauflage.
In dem Buch geht es um die Assistenzärztin Mackenzie und den Kardiologen Noah. Mackenzie hat es nicht leicht, sie muss die Verkupplungsversuche ihrer geliebten Großmutter ertragen und hat eine Pleite nach der anderen, da kommt ihr die Gelegenheit mit einem Fake-Boyfriend gerade recht, für Noah ist dies auch die perfekte Lösung, er muss den Schein waren. Denn als Alpha-Werwolf ohne Gefährtin könnte es für ihn ungemütlich werden. Doch als die beiden sich näher kommen wird es heißer als gedacht...
Ich habe jede Seite dieses Buches genossen. Sowohl Mackenzie als auch Noah waren zweit tolle Charaktere mit Ecken und Kanten. Der Schreibstil war interessant zu lesen und die Story hat mich sofort gepackt. ich empfehle das Buch auf jeden Fall weiter!

Lana Ferguson hat mit "The Fake Mate" eine großartige Mischung aus Romantik, Leidenschaft, Humor und Übernatürlichem geschaffen. Zwei Mediziner, gleichzeitig auch Werwölfe, eine Fake Beziehung und Spice - dass diese Kombination gut funktioniert, hätte ich nicht unbedingt gedacht. Die Geschichte hat mich aber sehr gut unterhalten!
Ich mochte es, dass wir die Perspektiven beider Protagonisten kennenlernen. Noah als Grump hat es mir anfangs etwas schwerer gemacht und da hat seine Perspektive sehr geholfen!
Mackenzies freche Sprüche ihm gegenüber und sein Mangel daran, Humor zu erkennen, fand ich zum Schreien!
Der Fantasy Touch hat dem ganzen noch mehr Spannung und definitiv eine Note Spice gegeben!
Insgesamt eine humorvolle Geschichte, die ich allen Fans von Ali Hazelwoods "Bride" ganz besonders empfehlen kann.
