Mir gefiel das Cover auf Anhieb. Die Farben sind gut gewählt und das Cover deutet schon an,worum es geht. Dieses Jugendbuch vereint alles,was eine gute Geschichte haben muss. Die Charaktere werden gut erklärt und der Schreibstil ist so bildhaft, dass das Gelesene vor dem geistigen Auge wie ein Film abläuft. Die Geschichte wird systematisch aufgebaut mit all ihren Wendungen, von denen ich hier nicht ins Detail gehen möchte. Das Gefühl, dass hier Experimente an Menschen unternommen werden, die davon nichts ahnen und dazu in ihrer eigenen "Welt" leben, ist hervorragend umgesetzt worden. Sel und seine Freunde erforschen ihre Umgebung dedektivisch. Das Ergebnis verändert sich beim Lesen und meines Erachtens wird die Spannung dadurch hervorragend getragen. Ich konnte gar nicht mehr aufhören zu lesen. Es ist spannend, ein wenig gruselig, etwas mysteriös und leicht zu lesen. Ich freue mich schon auf weitere Teile!

Ein Buch mit einem Cover, das mich persönlich fast abgeschreckt hat, inhaltlich dann aber doch ziemlich cool war.
Räumen wir das negative zuerst aus dem Weg, das Cover gefällt mir wirklich nicht. Ich finde es trashig und die Farben zu grell. Aber man soll ein Buch ja nicht nur nach dem Cover bewerten und das trifft hier auf jeden Fall zu.
Der Leser bekommt hier ein wirklich interessantes Gedankenspiel aufgezeigt, aber nicht nur das was am Anfang so offensichtlich erscheint. Das Buch lebt von ein paar wirklich tollen Plottwist, die mich grad am Ende des Buches sehr gefesselt haben. Die Handlung und die Charaktere sind so beschrieben, dass man dauernd an der Nase herumgeführt wird und irgendwann keine Ahnung mehr hat, wem man trauen kann.
Gerade für Kinder und Jugendliche, die ein Interesse an Werwölfen und an Dystopien haben, finde ich es ein sehr gelungenes Buch.
