Eigentlich hatte ich eine Geschichte im Stil von Shakespeare erwartet. Tatsächlich beschreibt das Buch jedoch das Leben von Gruoch, die einer Prophezeiung folgt, nach der sie eines Tages Königin von Schottland sein wird. Sie ist eiskalt berechnend und geht auch über Leichen, es ist fast wie ein Wahn. Liest sich flüssig und die Personen sind gut beschrieben.
