Grady Armstrong and Max Lockhart are professional Ice Hockey players and sworn rivals. Grady lost his parents at a young age and only has his older sister as family. With Christmas around the corner, his sister makes him promise that he will try everything to date somebody so that Grady won't be alone for Christmas since his sister is invited to trip with her ex-girlfriend and the ex-girlfriend's current girlfriend. His sister downloads the app "Grindr" on his phone, not knowing what it is actually for. On a random night, Max discovers Grady's profile and immediately believes it is a fake profile. He dares the "fake Grady" to meet with him for a hookup and is surprised to find that not only is Grady real, but the hook feels incredibly good. So, Grady ends up accepting Max's offer to help him find a date. But soon, Max realizes that he doesn't like the thought of Grady dating someone else and canceling their hock updates. At the same time, none of Grady's dates feel as right as he feels with his actual rival, Max Lockhart. At first, I had difficulty getting into the story because of the heavily detailed ice hockey terms and everything around them. But after their first two hock-ups, I became more interested in the plot and how it will proceed. Some scenes were a little too short for me (not many details are too fast), but overall, I enjoyed this novel very much
