I had devoured Kim Ji Young, Born 1982 with a mix of anger and awe, and this collection of short stories follows proudly in its steps. Cho Nam Joo's style and narrative encapsulate well what it means to be a woman in Korea, with the good and the bad. Definitely hope she will gift us soon with a new novel!
