I was so excited to read the sequel to Belladonna, which was a highlight for me. Maybe I was a bit too excited and thus my expectations were too high. The book itself is a good story. I like it. But I don't love it and I made the mistake to compare it too much to the vibes that Belladonna transported. Foxglove is a bit different, it is set in spring, so the gothic setting and the dark atmosphere are gone. The other big difference is that Signa is not the only main character anymore, her cousin Blythe steps into the spotlight and gets her own chapters. For me, it was too much Blythe and not enough Signa (and Death!). Anyhow, I can't wait for Wisteria, the third book of the series!

I love this series. I love the characters. I love the mystery. I love the writing style. I love Death - he is such a good MMC. Can’t get enough of this author! I have to inhale everything she writes.
