Overall not many events even happen in the book, but wow the narrating is so well kept that I managed to read the whole book in less than a week. The tension, story, slow burn (obviously) match all together incredibly well. And such a satisfying ending in my opinion. Quite honestly one of the best books I’ve read so far in my book journey.

There is dead superhero in my garden

Mariana Zapata is the Queen of slow-burn romance! Even though this book has over 600 pages, I couldn't put it aside. Gracie and Alexander (the Grump) are such contrasting characters I loved to follow their story and their bickering. The grump in question, Alexander, really hates it to depend on Gracie, especially because he is literally Superman and it's his job to save people. Meanwhile, Gracie just wants to get the stranded superhero out of her bed so she can continue her life in hiding. Both have their own secrets, which bring along a lot of trouble. They slowly learn to trust each other and work together to escape drug lords, meddling family members and their own prejudice. I loved to see them together, and I really hope the author may give us another story from this universe.
