Fantastic! I absolutely adore F.T. Lukens writing, their characters and the overall Vibe of this Book was just right. The Plot was gripping and really well thought out, lovable Characters as well as a striking romance. Definetly worth checking out!

A world full of magic restricted by strict rules, two young apprentices of powerful sorcerers and a lot of butterflies... This books provides you with amazing characters, a great fanatsy world, found family, non-binary rep and will definitely put a smile on your face.

Out of all the books Lukens has published so far this is my favourite! We find ourselves in a world with a very interesting concept of magic and strict rules that make clear who is and who isn´t allowed to perform it. Rook is someone who isn´t magic. Multiple people have confirmed this but he desperately tries to be a part of this world he´s grown up in and was banned from after his grandmothers death. Sun is someone who follows the rules. It´s safe. When they meet Rook who started to learn under the powerful magician Antonia, which is illegal, they find themselves in a conflict between their growing emotions for Rook and his smile and the law the consortium has set. Both Rook and Sun are amazing characters and this whole book is just filled with sassy dialogues, daring escapes, cute flirts and hilarious little accidents. It´s amazing! I had an absolute blast reading it!
