Wow. Durch Hayao Miyazaki bin ich auf dieses Buch aufmerksam geworden. Ich kann es wirklich nur weiterempfehlen. Während ich gelesen habe, dachte ich mir, dass ich auch gerne ein Familienmitglied hätte, das mir solche tollen Tagebucheinträge hinterlässt. Viele verschiedene Themen werden aufgegriffen, über die ich tiefgründig nachgedacht habe. Dieses Buch gehört ab sofort zu meinen Favoriten.

When I read the foreword, I was really worried about whether I would like this book or would DNF it immediately. BUT I LOVE IT. In general, Japanese literature is truly beautiful and heartwarming but this book was a beautiful mix of a coming of age, human behaviour and philosophy. I really loved the dynamic of the story and the characters which were all special in their own way. DEFINITELY a Must Read!
