Over the years, he has come to realise that Brussels is probably the most underrated capital city in Europe. Formerly editor of the Brussels English-language weekly The Bulletin, he has written several books on the Low Countries, including Amsterdam for Pleasure and Flemish Cities Explored. He also organises walking tours for small groups in Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent.
