The Surgeon's Daughter

In our time, women have won their place as female doctors, but not in the 19th century, and Nora Beady feels this every day. She doesn’t let the men around her offend her and won’t stop pursuing her dream of becoming a surgeon. What started in the first book takes her now in this sequel to Bologna, a prestigious medical school. Once again, Nora has to prove that women are suited to be doctors, as well as men are. And Nora doesn’t shy away from the competition, and she’s not letting her goal out of sight. I already know that I have to read the third part too. How Audrey Blake writes about women in the 19th century, especially the ones who choose an unconventional life, is interesting. A very powerful read that won’t let you rest for a long time after reading the last page.
