Heaven Official's Blessing: Tian Guan Ci Fu (Novel) Vol. 2

The story picks up right where the first volume left off. Xie Lian is sent to Ghost City to investigate a mysterious call for help—one that appeared as a massive fire in the sky. There, he runs into Hua Cheng (San Lang) again, and this time, he finally sees the Ghost King’s true face. Things escalate quickly: Xie Lian accidentally destroys Hua Cheng’s house and ends up having to flee. As the story goes on, we learn more about Xie Lian’s past and start to understand how the once-admired Crown Prince became a laughingstock after 800 years. We also get to see parts of Hua Cheng’s childhood—he was so adorable—and learn more about the shared history between them. Turns out, they’ve known each other a lot longer than Xie Lian realizes. Can’t wait to read the next volume!

In the second part of this story, Xie Lian learns even more about Hua Cheng. He is given a task that takes him to the Ghost city. There he sees Hua Cheng operating in his familiar environment. However, Xie Lian must not neglect his task that has something to do with his past.

I definitely love this serie! At the begining it was a bit difficult to understand how the 3 realms and the heavenly officials system work and look like but once into the story I could not stop reading it anymore. Both main characters are very lovely described and it is so sympatic how Xie Lian resolves every problem with such a great personality and sense to do what he thinks is the right thing, even thought the luck is never on his side. The relationship to Hua Chang slowly develops and turns out to be even more interesting coming to the last chapters of the book... Longing for the 3rd book to arrive soon!

Just as brilliant as the first one! As the Story continues, Xie Lian finds himself in Ghost City where he meets Hua Cheng again. And of course a lot of trouble. Instead of the two junior disciples Xie Lian gets two new companions and there are many more fantastic characters that are introtuced in this volume. We also learn a lot about Xie Lians past when he was still the crown prince of Xian Le. I don´t know how they expect me to wait until June for the next part.
